Cranberry Creek Gardens is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working bartenders, event staff and cleaning staff at our unique special events venue in Lynedoch, Ontario. The majority of our events are weddings so it is a fast paced service environment that required reliable and knowledgable staff with excellent customer service skills. We have a very busy schedule this upcoming wedding season and all applicants must be flexible working evenings, weekends and holidays. Bartender

Part-Time (20-30 hours per week), $15-17 per hour

June 1st to Oct 31st, limited hours over winter available as well.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup/teardown of bar service area

  • Prepare all beverages for guests

  • Interact with guests, take orders fast and efficiently

  • Maintain bar cleanliness, organization and brand appearance

  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times

  • Manage and control cash and other receipts for the bar by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with venues policies and procedures

  • Other Duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Smart Serve Certification is required

  • Knowledge/Experience bartending

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Posses basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system

SHIFTS

The majority of shifts will be Friday, Saturday and long weekend Sundays from 4pm to 1am with some Sundays and alternative shifts as well.

Event Staff

Part-Time (20-30 hours per week) $14.50-$15.50 per hour

May 23rd to Oct 31st, limited hours over winter available as well.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup/teardown of event service area

  • Must be able to life and carry minimum 30 pounds

  • Serve guests water at table help clear food and beverage items if required.

  • Interact with guests, take orders fast and efficiently

  • Maintain venue cleanliness, organization and brand appearance by cleaning glassware, garbage, and storage rooms.

  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome

  • Manage and control inventory

  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Smart Serve Certification is an asset

  • Knowledge/Experience event staff is an asset

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

Punctual and reliable

SHIFTS

The majority of shifts will be Fridays, Saturdays and long weekend Sundays from 2pm - 11pm or 4pm to 1am with some Sundays and alternative shifts as well. Daytime position available with limited hours for setup only.

Cleaning Staff

Part-Time (20-30 hours per week) $18-$20 per hour

Start Date May 19th to Oct 31st, limited hours over winter available as well.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup/teardown of event areas

  • Work with event staff to ensure quality and efficiency of event setups

  • Ensure the venue and Guest house are cleaned properly, efficiently, thoroughly and safely for guests

  • Maintain venue and guest house cleanliness and organization in storage rooms

  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures

  • Inspect event areas and report any maintenance concerns to management

  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly developed organizational skills, proven ability to stay on task, meet deadlines and follow through assigned task

  • Reliable and dependable, friendly, patient and courteous

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

SHIFTS

The majority of shifts will be Friday, Saturday and long weekend Sundays from 10am - 6pm or 4pm to 1am with some Sundays and alternative shifts as well.
